I have been wondering...
how many of us preferr toe up or cuff down...
Or
heelflap or short row?
Me? I am a cuff down girl( that's how I learned knitting sock, I tried toe up , but defaulted back to cuff down.. something about it just suits me better...) and short row all the way... I don't mind knitting the heelflap , but I like the short row heel fit better so I usually always knitt that , unless I am making socks for clogs and want something special on the heel....
I thought it might be interesting to find out who knitts how and why...
so have at it and tell us!!!

Though I'm on a cuff down kick lately, I do dig the toe-up fashion. I see myself going between both styles as the need suits.
I could go either way, really. Lately it's been toe up... if I'm making the sock up I try toe up as much as possible.. but if a pattern has a specific direction I do it that way.
As for the heel... I prefer short rows.. I might try to sub a short row heel when the pattern says heel flap. If I'm making up the sock, short rows!!
