me and socks... I scrapped the second mrs beetons and went straight for the next sock... my first toe up!!!
My son (5) saw me and claimed it for himself ! so this will be a little sock. Since it is a new technique I am trying, I will make it in acrylic ( takes frogging a bit better if necessary...)

Shameless, I tell you. Tossed Mrs. Beeton from the train, have we? hehe. I found acrylic baby/fingering yarns are good for practicing with a sockweight-like yarn. Although I find acrylic yarns harsh on the foot, it's great for booties!!
That is why I only use it for practice socks ;) but DS doesn't seem to mind he was wearing them this morning , when I got up... oh.. they are done BTW...
I agree with you, I think they are a bit harsh on the foot...
